Profile- Nicola Williams

A Welsh born singer/ songwriter now based in Galway.
Williams recorded her debut album "Beautiful Arrangement" independently in 2006. The album covers a dynamic mix of styles, its varied tracks drawing upon elements of acoustic modern-folk, pop, jazz and dance, with subtle synth sounds and programmed beats complimenting the instrumentation of some of the tracks.
Williams' voice is uniquely expressive and soulful, delivering lyrics that cover a spectrum of emotions and an array of experiences of human connection, body and spirit. Williams herself describes the rich and melodic sound of the album as "beautiful music".Her live performance is equally engaging, with a creatively animated visual effect brought through dance, her infectious energy and her total immersion in the world of her songs. Williams is an artist with the ability to captivate and inspire the listener and watcher just by being herself and doing what she loves most and does best.
